Poland adds two bronze medals to World Games tally

Poland has taken its medal tally to eight after day three of competition at The World Games in Wrocław, southwestern Poland, on Sunday, winning gold and bronze in the paramotor slalom event.

With 30 points, Wojciech Bógdał beat Thailand’s Kittiphob Phrommat (38) and Poland’s Marcin Bernat (41).
On Saturday, Poland men’s 4x25 manikin relay team won silver and the women’s 4x50 medley relay won bronze in life-saving competitions, and bronze medals were awarded to Poland’s lightweight sumo wrestlers Paweł Wojda for the men’s event and Magdalena Macios for the women’s.
In lifesaving events on the first day of competition on Friday, silver medals were given to Alicja Tchórz for the women’s 200 obstacle swim and to Poland’s men’s 4x50 obstacle relay team.
Poland is 15th on the medal tally. Russia, which has a total of 35, including 20 gold, Italy (24) and Germany (21) make up the top three. (vb)
