The last time Gortat crossed the 20-point mark was on February 2 last year when he produced 21 points against the Los Angeles Lakers.
“I’m happy we won the game. That’s the most important thing,” Gortat said after the match, as quoted by The Washington Post. “It’s just one game in the season, I guess, when I score like that. Let’s talk after 10, 20 more games, and we’ll see what’s going to happen.”
Gortat’s scoring average for the 2017/2018 NBA season so far is 8.6 points per game.
In his first NBA game of the season, Gortat scored 16 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in his Washington Wizards’ 120-115 win against the Philadelphia 76ers in mid-October.
