Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, he added that “there are no guarantees” but that returning to the racetrack had been his goal for the past 10 months.
The first ever Polish driver to compete in the Formula One was forced to take a break from the sport after a serious crash in 2011 in which he injured his arm, shoulder and leg.
Kubica has since completed several test races for Williams and eagerly awaits his comeback to Formula One.
He competed for Renault in the competition in 2010, scoring three podiums in his season with the French manufacturer before his crash the next year. (vb)
