Tennis: Poland’s Kubot makes Shanghai Masters doubles final

Poland’s Łukasz Kubot and Brazil’s Marcelo Melo have reached the final of the men’s doubles competition at the Shanghai Masters tennis tournament in China.

The Polish-Brazilian duo beat Austria’s Oliver Marach and Croatia’s Mate Pavic 6-2, 7-5 in the semifinals on Saturday.
Kubot and Melo will take on Britain’s Jamie Murray and Brazil’s Bruno Soares in the championship match on Sunday.
The Pole and the Brazilian last Sunday won the men’s doubles title at the China Open tournament in Beijing.
Kubot and Melo were last year named the men’s doubles team of 2017 by the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
