Ski jumping: Poland’s Żyła third in Willingen

Japan’s Ryoyu Kobayashi, who is leading in the general World Cup classification this season, came first, while Germany’s Markus Eisenbichler came second.
Poland’s Dawid Kubacki finished fifth.
On Friday Polish ski jumpers won the team competition in Willingen.
On Saturday, Poland’s Kamil Stoch, a three-time Olympic champion and the overall winner of last year’s World Cup, came second.
Polish jumpers have put in strong performances this season, whetting fans’ appetites for success at the Nordic World Ski Championships, which start in Seefeld, Austria, on Wednesday.
