Poland beat Belgium 3-2 in their first match of the championships on Sunday.
The young Poles on Saturday take on Spain in their next game at the tournament, which is being hosted by six cities, five in Italy and one in San Marino.
Twelve teams divided into three groups play in the U-21 championships, which are run by the European Football Association (UEFA).
The winners of the three groups and the second-place team with the best record make it through to the semifinals.
The tournament's top four teams will automatically qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo.
