High Note :: Come to the opera, buy a mask for charity!

Wrocław Opera has started preparations for its megaproduction of Verdi's Un Ballo in Maschera. This year's operatic feast, which takes in evenings in-between football cup matches played in Euro host city Wrocław, is also an open invitation to the football fans which are being expected for the European championships. Instead of closing doors (as one would have thought) and boarding up its interiors to preserve them against the heathens, the opera is actually going out to greet them... as well as ask them to donate for its children's holiday fund.
