High hopes for Polish Paralympic squad. Danuta Isler reports.
Over four thousand disabled athletes from 160 countries, among them 100 paralympians from Poland, have arrived in London for the 14th Summer Paralympic Games.
Over the course of almost two weeks they will be fighting for medals in over 500 competitions in 20 disciplines. Poland currently stands ninth in the all-time Paralympics medal table, with 632 gold, silver and bronze since the competition began in 1972.
