The 14th Summer Paralympics drew a close in London with record ticket sales, record crowds and the highest profile in the event's history.

This week in our sports program:
- Poland was among the best-performing countries at this year's Paralympics in London, finishing ninth in the overall medal table from 164 countries.
- Over one thousand senior athletes have come to the north-eastern city of Olsztyn for the World Senior Games. The tournament, held in one of the most beautiful regions of Poland, includes seven days of competitions in eleven most popular disciplines.
