The liberal Palikot Movement is making headlines in a dispute that could cost party leaderJanusz Palikot public support, if not his career.

Member of Parliament Janusz Palikot's drive to remove deputy speaker, women’s rights activist Wanda Nowicka from office stems over a controversial bonus she received for her work in Parliament.
“We may now see with our own eyes what my recent research has shown: young Poles perceive Palikot as a hyperactive politician, who takes too much on his plate, and he fails to pull anything through. He tried to change the deputy speaker – the Civic Platform and the Democratic Left Alliance thwarted these plans,” says political scientist Norbert Maliszewski, from the University of Warsaw.
“If [Palikot] loses the support of the civic society movements and organizations, this may threaten his credibility in the eyes of his other voters,” says Mirosława Makuchowska, from NGO Campaign Against Homophobia.
