In 2005, the Representation of the Republic of Poland in Ramallah, the official capital of the Palestinian National Authority, was opened with the aim of rendering development aid to the people and organisations there.
As Sławek Szefs reports, Poland’s Foreign Ministry has been earmarking PLN 2 million (roughly half a million euro) annually for financing related projects.
"We are concentrating on non-institutional projects, that is those which target directly the specific person,” Aleksandra Bukowska-McCabe, head of the Polish diplomatic mission in Ramallah, told Polish Radio.
