Listen to this report in which Orchestra Manager Ewa Bogusz-Moore describes the project, launched in 2011, as “a symbol of solidarity, tolerance and cooperation […] showing that culture is the simplest way to start working together.”
The fifth tour of the I, Culture Orchestra is the brainchild of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute in Warsaw, which champions Polish culture abroad.
The tour opens in Gdańsk on Monday and includes Berlin, Kiev, Batumi in Georgia and Santander in Spain. The concert in Kiev on 24 August, Ukraine’s Independence Day, is the highlight of the tour.
