The last of the Left?

Partia Razem (Together Party) was formed last May in an attempt to create a left-wing political platform following dissatisfaction with the post-communist Democratic Left Alliance's role as the main leftist party.

Although the Together Party did not gain any seats in parliament in the last October elections, they did manage a fairly high score for a political newcomer – 3.6 percent of votes and succeeded in generating much media interest following the televised pre-electoral debate with the Party’s Adrian Zandberg stealing the show.

Michał Owczarek talks to him trying to find out, among other things, why he sticks to commuting by public transport and refuses to own a car.

“We don't call it a failure, we call it first steps on the way to making the left in Poland. We started really low and those first steps led us to 3.6 percent in the elections,” Adrian Zandberg said.
