What’s in TTIP for Poland?
Friday’s issue of the Polska The Times daily tackles the hot topic of EU-US negotiations on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP).

Leaked TTIP reports recently published by Greenpeace cast doubt on the integrity of the deal.
The documents show for instance that US corporations would be granted unprecedented powers over any new public health or safety regulations to be introduced in future.
Supporters say, though, the TTIP would deliver more than 100 billion dollars of economic gains on both sides of the Atlantic. Polish analysts quoted by the newspaper reckon that the agreement should not bring any detriment to the Polish economy.
Before the issue becomes really hot in this country, Michał Owczarek broaches the subject with Jack Spencer, the Vice President of the Heritage Foundation.
“If [TTIP] reduces barriers to trade, what that essentially means is that the people of Poland will be able to engage in free economic exchange with people of the nations of the other participants of the agreement,” Spencer said.
