The festival launches on August 13 in Gdańsk

The eighth edition of Solidarity of Arts is coming to the city of Gdańsk. Devised as a showcase for Polish artists and promotion of local cultural institutions, it starts with a programme dedicated to filmmaker Krzysztof Kieślowski this Saturday while the next concert on Sunday, August 14 focuses on the music of Wojciech Kilar.
Elżbieta Krajewska was on the line to jazzman Kuba Stankiewicz, now in Gdańsk for the festival, which continues to August 27, with a majority of events held in the open air. Apart from the golden circle, admission is free.
