Euro adoption would benefit Poland: former PM

A leaked EU memo has recently caused a stir suggesting the European Commission might force all member countries to adopt the common euro currency by 2025.

Thus, the Polish currency, the zloty, would be consigned to history within eight years. However, with polls showing that more than half of Poles are opposed to adopting the euro straight away and Poland’s current central bank governor saying that the country has no plans to join the eurozone, all this could be an enormous challenge for both sides.
