When early one April morning a visitor from space took off part of the roof over a bathroom in a house in a remote area of northern Poland, it was soon known that this had been the first fall of a meteorite recorded in this country in a hundred years.
The meteorite then found itself in the hands of leading domestic authority on unearthly rocks: professor Tadeusz Przylibski from the University of Technology in Wrocław.
