Climate change mitigation has become one of the major environmental priorities of the Polish presidency in the EU Council. Find out what the EU's climate strategy is ahead of the climate summit in Durban and how Poland can reconcile the EU climate targets with its own interests.

Now, as Poland is holding the EU Council presidency, it is responsible for adopting a common EU climate policy ahead of the UN climate summit which is to take place in Durban in November. Poland is expected to push for ambitious CO2 emission reduction targets and to help the EU play the leading role in the negotiations.
