A nightwatchman was taken by surprise when he discovered a royal python in a bathroom at the UNESCO-listed Centennial Hall in Wroclaw, western Poland.

The security guard was doing a random check of the building when he noticed that a light had come on in one of the bathrooms.
It turned out that a snake had triggered the automatic light to come on.
The man called the fire brigade and the python was transported to Wroclaw Zoo.
Royal pythons are typically found in West and Central Africa.
However, staff at the Centennial Hall have acknowledged that a pet fair was held in the building in mid-September.
“After the event we searched the entire complex, but we didn't find any 'wild tenant',” hall spokesman Bozena Rudyk told the TVN24 news channel.
However, it appears that at least one creature escaped their attention. (nh)
