The vote follows a debate on the issue on Thursday.

According to the draft bill, during in vitro procedures, doctors can create only one embryo, which must be implanted within 72 hours.

According to one of the authors of the draft bill, independent MP Jan Klawiter, the bill aims to “ensure that children conceived through in vitro procedures have the right to be born, eliminating the practice of selecting [embryos], restore the relationship between the decision to conceive life and taking responsibility for its development.”
