Poland 25th worldwide in expat ranking

Poland has placed in the top 25 best countries for expats to live in, according to a new report by London-based HSBC bank.

Analysts at HSBC publish a yearly ranking of the 45 best countries to live and work in. The factors which were considered were employment, wages, quality of life, safety, and quality of childcare.
Poland featured in this year’s ranking for first time. Among the factors which improved Poland’s ranking were “Overall cost of children” (4th worldwide), “School quality” (10th), and “Economic confidence” (14th).
The top-ranking country worldwide was Singapore, followed by New Zealand and Canada. European countries which made the top ten were the Czech Republic (in 4th place), Switzerland, Norway, Austria, Sweden (5th to 8th place) and Germany (10th).
The ranking was based on responses from 27,000 employees in 190 countries. (rg)
