'Hundreds injured' as Polish high-speed train collides with truck

Some 200 people were injured when a high-speed Pendolino train collided with a truck in south-western Poland on Friday.

The public TVP broadcaster reported that 18 people were hospitalised following the crash.
Meanwhile, three people suffered serious injuries in the crash, which happened between the cities of Częstochowa and Opole, according to the broadcaster.

Local authorities said that 300 people were travelling on the train at the time.
Polish media reported that the line between the cities would be closed until further notice.
Italian-made Pendolino trains can reach speeds of up to 293 km/h. (rg/pk)
