Some 13,500 senior citizens aged 75 and over could be covered by the programme, according to the Family, Labour and Social Policy Ministry.
The initiative aims to increase the availability of care services to pensioners who live in small towns and districts of up to 20,000 residents.
Money under the programme will increase the number of hours of care provided to people who already use such services and to subsidise services for OAPs who have so far not benefited from them.
Family Minister Elżbieta Rafalska said: "Our goal is to increase access to care services and ensure greater safety for senior citizens.”
