Officers detained 184 drink-drivers, said Dawid Marciniak from Polish police headquarters.
Seventeen people were killed in total on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There were 180 accidents while more than 650 drink-drivers were detained over the three days, the IAR news agency reported.
The Easter weekend is when Poles traditionally head off for family gatherings, which are often accompanied by alcohol.
Police have warned drivers to exercise caution on Sunday, when many Poles are set to travel back home. Police said patrols would be stepped up on main roads.
