School evacuated after children fainted, vomited

Some 130 children were evacuated from a primary school in Mława, central Poland, on Friday after students started showing symptoms of poisoning.

According to Polish Radio's IAR news agency, children were fainting and vomiting.
Sixteen students are in stable condition after receiving treatment in hospital.
The remaining affected children were helped by paramedics on school property.
It remains unclear when students will be allowed to return to school.
A local fire department spokesman said three fire units and a biohazard team was sent to the school, which was tested for toxic substances.
Two ambulances and four emergency rescue choppers were also sent to the school.
Firefighter Zbigniew Kąpiński said that the cause of the poisoning was unknown. A special team of firefighters was sent from Warsaw to determine what made children feel unwell. (vb)
