No tolerance for football hooligans: Polish deputy justice minister

Law enforcers will have no tolerance for those who instigate unruly behaviour at football matches, Poland’s deputy justice minister said on Monday.

Patryk Jaki was speaking after an incident in the western city of Poznań where a top-flight match between Lech Poznań and Legia Warsaw was marred by crowd unrest on Sunday.
The referee suspended the premier-league match in the 77th minute after a group of home-team supporters set off flares and invaded the pitch.
Jaki said on Monday he was convinced that those responsible for the incident in Poznań would be identified and caught.
“We will not tolerate this kind of behaviour,” he declared.
Poland's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki tweeted on Sunday that he expected decisive action to be taken against football hooligans.
The National Stadium in Warsaw has sustained hundreds of thousands worth of damage as a result of football hooligans setting off flares and vandalising property during the Polish Cup final in early May, according to a spokeswoman.
