The town’s local food bank thanked volunteers and donors on Sunday by making a feast using 6,000 eggs, eight kilograms of lard, and chives.

Frying the eggs took more than two hours and needed a five-square-metre pan.

The meal broke a record set in 2013 which saw 5,000 eggs used. (vb/pk)
