Storms cause damage across Poland

Firefighters were called out 800 times since Sunday afternoon to deal with damage caused by flooding and fallen trees after storms swept across Poland.

Power lines were downed, roads and railways blocked and basements flooded, according to the fire department. One person was injured in the storms.
Most of the damage was in Poland's south.
Power remained cut to thousands of homes on Monday morning, according to Poland's Government Security Centre. (vb/pk)
