According to the paper, the “This Time I’m Voting” campaign is crucial to increase turnout in Poland, where only 23.83 percent of voters took part in the last European Parliament elections in 2014 – one of the lowest turnouts in the bloc.
The average for all EU countries was 42.61 percent, the lowest in the bloc’s history.
The Rzeczpospolita daily added that the new European Parliament campaign was apolitical.
An online platform for sharing information, available at thistimeimvoting.eu or tymrazemglosuje.eu, allows volunteers in Poland to organise and take part in events and meetings promoting the elections.
