The gang is believed to have taken medicines worth PLN 140 million (EUR 32m, USD 37m) out of the country, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
Among those detained are senior executives in pharmaceutical companies.
Some of the medicines taken out of the country were potentially life-saving drugs, according to IAR.
In May last year, Central Anti-Corruption Bureau officers detained seven people as part of the same probe.
