Most of the emergencies were in the country’s northern Pomorskie province, Paweł Frątczak, a spokesman for the State Fire Service, said on Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were called to help pump water out of flooded basements and remove fallen trees from roads and railroad tracks, Frątczak told public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency.
One person was reported injured in the wake of storms and strong winds on Monday.
Meanwhile, experts in Poland have urged caution over a prolonged spell of hot weather, with temperatures expected to rise well above 30 degrees Celsius in most parts of the country.
The Government Centre for Security (RCS) has said that people should drink a lot of water, avoid venturing outdoors unless necessary, refrain from exercise and not to drink alcohol, which causes dehydration.
